Australian and Brazilian Cotton Production

Australia and Brazil are the closest competitors to U.S. cotton.  All three countries produce machine picked, HVI graded, quality cotton mainly for the export market.

Australia and Brazil have been harvesting historically high levels of cotton production over the last several years. Australia’s crop production is as the high end of their historical range.  Brazilian production is sharply uptrending.  Both of these represent competition for U.S. cotton exports.
